North Worcester Community Projects
We at North Worcester are committed to helping our local community. Our motto is to turn “bystanders into lifesavers”, which boils down to training as many people in first aid and rescue skills as possible. This is in the hope that should anyone in the local community come into danger, someone close has the ability and the confidence to help.
In our endeavour to improve the safety of our local community, we run a number of community projects and event support. An outline of some of them are below:

Save a Baby
A course designed for new parents or grandparents to learn vital responses to emergency situations involving infants. The course includes
• Infant Choking,
• Infant CPR,
• Danger Awareness
• Water safety
Save a Child/Save a Life
A course designed for anyone in regular contact with young children or adults. The course includes the same as the “Save a Baby” course, but includes processes suitable for adults or children. It highlights the importance of knowing the difference between infant, child and adult CPR and similarly the choking cycles.
Duke of Edinburgh
We are very aware that learning new skills is a key part of the Duke of Edinburgh award. We regularly incorporate Duke of Edinburgh participants and involve their record keeping and journals to enhance their experience of Duke of Edinburgh. We also have people volunteer to support the club as part of the Duke of Edinburgh course.
Water Event Safety Cover
We work in close partnership with number of local sports clubs to ensure their water events are safely patrolled, using our highly skilled members as Lifeguards and Event Marshalls.
We have close connections to the Royal Life Saving Society UK and are an RLSS affiliated club RLSS
